really, i think the Leafs would be in worse shape if Tucker or Kaberle were out...

CAN'T WAIT TIL SATURDAY!

Sundin was such a force in the last Habs-Leafs game that beating the Leafs without him won't really count.

Except for points. Smile

Great win by the Flames over Dallas last night! They finally put in a full 60-minute effort and everything was working for them: great speed, dominant physical play, relentless forecheck, and they even managed an impressive 67% in the face off circle against a Dallas team that is very strong up the middle. Dare I say it, they looked like the Flames of old last night. They've finally won two in a row, so I'm hoping this is the big turnaround we've been waiting for. Anaheim will be a huge test when they roll through town on Friday, but if the Flames can bring their "A" game like they did last night, the Ducks are toast.

Crap. Now Raycroft is hurt. Good thing they play the Bruins three more times this month. Otherwise it could have gotten ugly.

I fear for the Leafs if J-S Aubin has to be the starter for any extended length of time. He's not looking like the Aubin of last year (despite that Hasek-style sommersault save last night). He was only 5 for 7 last night and if the game had been a couple minutes longer it was looking like Leafs-Devils all over again.

And with Tellqvist hurt ... is it? could it be? Pogge-time?!?!?

How bad is he hurt? I haven't heard anything much about this.

"Day-to-day" with a strained groin.

Of course some "day-to-day" groin injuries last for months. Ask Forsberg or Gaborik.

Hopefully he's not out longer than a few weeks. Looking forward to the Habs game that's for sure. Gonna be another doozy.

we might not have Higgins in the line up, but Koivu is a man on a mission this year...hopefully Ryder can get it goin tomorrow night, he's in a bit of a slump, he's playing well, just not finding the back of the net...if "Gui" could get another one that'd be HUGE!

I saw Brian Burke earlier today at the mall near the hotel where other teams stay when they are in town - I was tempted to ask him how much he enjoyed taking it to the 'nucks last night.

Overconfident Ducks: check
Fired up Flames: check
Result: HUGE shutout win for Calgary and the end of Anaheim's 16 game point streak.

Amonte, Kipper, and our defence were awesome tonight. The boys are definitely on a roll now, and they keep getting better and more confident with each game. The Calgary Flames are back! Tomorrow night's game should be very interesting. The 'Nucks are hurting big time on defence and haven't played well lately, but they've had a full day's rest and they'll be catching the Flames on back-to-back games with travel in between. I'd give the edge to Vancouver in this one, but the Flames are a pretty confident bunch right now. We're getting timely goals when we need them, Kipper is in the zone, and our defence has been rock solid over the last few games. Gotta keep this winning streak alive!

GO FLAMES!!!
