Is anyone still waiting for their deluxe edition from Arts & Crafts?

Mine was apparently shipped but the tracking report hasn't progressed since the day the shipping label was created.

Arts & Crafts has said there was a glitch on Canada Post's end, but when I spoke with Canada Post, they had no idea what I was talking about.

Just curious if anyone else has been effected similarly.

Wow just watched it. Wow. The Stranger, Seven Matches and Here, Here and Here are just incredible. I don't think anyone else could have pulled off such a tough subject in such an eloquent manner. The songs were direct but at the same time so beautifully done and not forceful. The music production is also perfect, The Stranger in particular.

Sorry if this has been posted, but I found two videos of Gord, Kevin and Dave performing Secret Path songs at Jason Collett's Basement Revue in 2014. Quite a different experience seeing him sing the songs healthy and strong.

After a week of listening to the album non-stop, I gotta say this another truly great Gord Downie album. I think given the context - Gord's illness and the Chanie Wenjack story - people would (rightfully) praise this album/project regardless, but the fact the songwriting, the performance, and the production are so strong makes me so happy. How often do talented people working for a very worthy cause create a project that is less than stellar? ALL THE TIME. Thank you, Gord, for creating something of substance.

I would assume most of this album was done pre-cancer. We know the songs were already written. And I highly doubt gord was in the studio between January and the tour of this year recording it. Just my assumption anyway.

Your assumption is correct. From the liner notes:
"Recorded and Mixed at The Bathouse Recording Studios, Bath, ON, Canada

And from the website, confirming a completed album prior to diagnosis: "In winter 2014, Gord and Mike brought the recently finished music to comic artist Jeff Lemire for his help illustrating Chanie’s story, bringing him and the many children like him to life."

I was intrigued by this album pre-release, but I wasn't sure I'd really "get into" it. Thought it might be too depressing to listen to on a regular basis. But, instead I've found that I can't stop listening to it the last few days. The whole album flows nicely. However, if I had to single one out right now, it's "Secret Path" - just can't get that transition to the chorus out of my head ("Did you say secret pa-aaa-ath? Pale blue, doesn't do the thing they say it'd do..."). The live performance from the Basement Revu posted earlier in the thread sealed the deal on this song for me.

The album has gotten me thinking about a number of things; some trivial, some not so much, but too many to write about here right now. I'll just say that I spent my childhood living just outside Kenora, so it hits close to home and has made me think through some of my memories of that time.
