Meanstreak -New Orleans (9/29/2004)
Great song, funny intro. Gord mentions "haunted" at the beginning of the song and shortly after, Gord Sinclair hits a sour note on his guitar. You hear Gord laugh and say "the bass is haunted". Classic!

Nice "Fid'"s today. The good stuff just keep on coming Mav!
Any chance of getting that "Escape" at Irving Plaza (the song that was listed as today's) though?

Do I hear an I'm a Werewolf, Baby riff at the beginning? Followed by a whispered roar by Gordie?
I'd say so. If you listen carefully, you can hear someone in the crowd yell "I'm A Fuckin' Werewolf, Baby!" right before Gord talks/laughs.

Hey MAv,
Have you ever posted a live version of Coconut Cream as the song of the day?
I would love to hear a live version of that tune, it gets a lot of heat, but I actually love the guitar work in it.
Yes... that's right... the guitar WERRRRRRRRRRRRRK.
I guess my point is, you should post some Coconut Cream :thumb:

It has only been posted once - about three years ago.
Damn, this SOTD has been going on that long? Nice.
