Was on my way home Saturday night listening to 97.7 HTZ FM.....the DJ gave the password for todays presale. Very interesting and upsetting at the same time.
Sounds like this mornings presale was as creepy as ever .......leave it to Ticketmaster!!
Been to a couple Hip "smaller venue" shows and they were awesome but I will wait for Art Park.
The next small venue show I would like to request would be my "MY BACKYARD"!!!!!!!

Well, it didn't go smoothly (as has been well documented) and not everybody got the tickets they desired. I myself had to give up 4-5 pairs of better tickets to get my row U's (sounds like it's gonna be a hipbase party down in section 7!), but is it really any surprise to anybody. It's frustrating but it's nothing new really. Almost every time I have to get "hot" tickets off of ticketmaster, something goes wrong. I don't know what people are mad at MAv or the band for. It's not as if they sat in some ticketmaster control room waiting for ten minutes after the sale to flip a switch that would make it work and screw a bunch of people over in the process. Frankly I'm surprised people were even able to pull up multiple pairs of tickets with so many trying to get seats to a 1000 seat event. Like I said I pulled up 4-5 and my buddy also pulled up 3-4. It sucks but it's like going to a hip show and complaining they didn't play any Vivaldi; you knew what was gonna happen when you found out you were going to have to deal with ticketmaster. :roll:
Can I be the first (hopefully I'm not) to thank MAv and the Hip for setting this up!

THEY EMBODY ALL OF WHAT IS EVIL AND WRONG IN THIS WORLD
They screwed me so hard with Phish this summer, with the same bullshit error msg's or stupid fuck ups... The fact that they couldn't even get something as small as this Hip show right is a fucking joke.
Thank god I got tickets in the end... But regardless, fuck ticketmaster, fuck there service charges, and fuck there servers that always crash . Makes me want to start my own company... low low service charges and websites that operate fairly and properly and cares about their customers ....
SO PSYCHED FOR THE SHOW... LOVE THE HIP FOR DOING THIS

It was quite the Ticketmaster fiasco. Not the first time I have had trouble with Ticketmaster either.
I was quite lucky though, my pair in Row Z I pulled up did not go through and then I tried again and got a pair in Row G and those went through.
Looking forward to taking my fiancee to this show. Should be quite intimate. I have been to the venue before and it is quaint and old, in that vintage way.

I had trouble with the tickets as well... took me 20 minutes before they finally went through... you would think that TM would have figured this out by now and worked out the glitches in the software. But I'm also sure there's a lot involved with the software, I'm sure it's pretty complicated on the back-end. All we can hope for is that they fix the software for next time, I would imagine calling in will raise concern for TM. If enough people call in I'm sure someone there will be smart enough to escalate the issue to the right people.
I snagged FLR2 row L. Pretty pumped.

Oh my God I needed fresh air after that ordeal. It has all been said to this point. The only reason I kept trying was that I called the Music Hall begging and she said on-line only and to keep trying because there were seats available
cratch: They were gone for me like everyone else when I had them and could not select Canada Will Call.
After all that I did get row C after time and time again getting the error message. :x
I went from floor J-S to up top SS and finally my C's.
All's well that ends well but I understand not for everyone I hope they contact you later. I have heard of tickets being made available day of before maybe if you come down they will open up some day of?

I'd love to call TM to leave my name and number to see if I get contacted about not having my order processed, but unfortunately I don't have the time to sit on hold and wait...... man, I'm stilled super pissed and I've had 2.5 hours to "cool" off...

I never did get tickets this morning. I've had some time to calm down. It just really sux. I was planning on suprising my wife this friday with the show. We have seen the Hip over 35 times since 2002. I was psyched to be able to see them at this theater and especially because it is the 1st show of the tour. I have tix for Boston, all 4 Artpark shows, Rochester and Hamilton. Ticketmaster is the worst. Still love the Hip, no reason to be mad at the band, but just an extremely disappointing morning.

OK, had time to breathe and cool off. I'm still going to swing by futureshop today on my way home from my 1/2 day at work like I had planned and pick up WATS. I thought I would be celebrating and psyching up for Friday's show, but I guess there was always a chance I wasn't going to get seats and I'll just have to convince myself that's what happened, and not that I lost out on 4th row on top of 1/2 day of work. Gotta say thanks to the band for trying something like this for their fans, seeing as they could have just as easily added a 7th show at massey for $100/ticket.
