I'm just curious, when they showed the nominees for the Norris Trophy tonight, did they show Sergei Zubov? I watched it, and i only noticed them showing Nick Lidstrom & Scott Niedermayer, but i likely just missed it.
And wow, that's 4 Norris Trophies now for Nicklas Lidstrom in 5 seasons. And if you include his 3 second place finishes, Nick has either won or been the runner up for 7 of the last 8 Norris Trophies. So my question, where do you guys think Lidstrom ranks amongst the all-time great defensemen?

Yop, they showed a picture of Zubov....

It's an absolute joke that Chris Pronger wasn't even named as a 1st or 2nd team All-Star. I think he should be on the 1st team but I can understand Niedermeyer and Lidstrom ahead of him. Chara and Zubov ahead of Pronger? Uh, I don't think so boys.

Wow. I was in EDM yesterday for business and was very suprised that Pronger wasn't there for the downtown celebration. I guess this is why. I wonder what the personal reasons are. Thats a shame.
As for Luongo for Bertuzzi - great trade for the 'nucks. The fact that they could get a front line 'tender for a headcase like Bertuzzi is great news for 'nucks fans.

Canucks win that trade hands down, Bertuzzi is a shadow of his former self and Luongo is a great goalie. Well done Nonis, now if the Habs can finally land a decent player who actually produces Ill be happy..cripes when was the last time a Montreal player was in the top 10 in points? Its been way too long.

Didn't Luongo say that if he were traded from the Panthers he would only sign a one-year contract (since he's an RFA), then test the waters next summer as a UFA? If that's the case then the Panthers potentially win this trade - big time.
If that be the case, its a different story. I guess they must be sure of being able to sign him to a longer deal next year. At the least they will have a solid goalie in net next year and could potentially make a good run at the cup.

And if you're wondering about my signature..i was driving past a local strip club today and there was a big neon sign out front with that saying on it and i said to my wife.."when i die put that on my tombstone" Apparently she failed to see the humor in that (go figure) and she gave me "the look", you married guys know what I mean....its been a fun day today is all i can say.
