Quote:The New Jersey Devils on Tuesday hired Claude Julien as their head coach.
''Claude Julien brings experience, knowledge, enthusiasm, and discipline that will complement the players here in the New Jersey Devils organization,'' said Devils president and general manager Lou Lamoriello.
Julien was fired as the Montreal Canadiens head coach in January of this year after three years behind the bench. In the 2003-04 season he led the Canadiens to a 41-30-7-4 record and into the second round of the playoffs.
Julien replaces Lamoriello, who coached the Devils for much of the season after Larry Robinson stepped down in December. The Devils were 32-18 under Lamoriello and won the Atlantic Division title thanks to an 11-game winning streak to end the regular season.
...Selanne + Koivu + Kovalev = sick!

I cant belive how many pp chances went wasted, when this is all over they will look back on what they did wrong that's a big reason, mind you it doesn't help when your starting goalie gets hurt in the first game. Funny enough I watched some of the classic cup game after, 1990 Oilers vs. Bruins and by todays reffing standards those guys got away with murder. I know they want to open up the game and lose the clutch and grab style of play, but the endless parade of penalties and whistles is killing the flow of the game somewhat, I think.

Somewhat?  How about THERE IS NO FLOW AT ALL TO GAMES ANYMORE. The NHL is a joke right now with the new rules and officiating. I know I'm in the minority but that's how it is and I'm sticking to it. :thumb:
Colin Campbell had no answers for Ron Maclean. NONE!!!!! Of course, the players asked for this so they can't whine about too many penalties being called because they are responsible. The commitees that are full of morons like Linden, Shanahan, etc who have their heads so far up their asses they don't know what they are doing. Here's an idea I've come up to increase scoring chances in the NHL. It's simple really. LEARN THE EFFIN FUNDAMENTALS OF HOCKEY- PASSING, SKATING, SHOOTING! Ryan Smyth's own teammates are making fun of him for having a the shot of a pee wee houseleague player.
HAHA LOL at the Devils. Julien? What a hack coach. I won't laugh too hard though because indications are the Canucks are going to do even worse and hire bum Vigneault.

You're right. And what really drives me nuts is the lack of consistency. Staal blasts Spacek into the boards with what should have been at least a boarding call if not checking from behind, nothing, then Smith waves his stick in the direction of one of the 'Canes with 4 minutes left and boom then the arm goes up. Its a joke. The automatic delay of game for shooting the puck over the boards has got to go as well. Brutal rule. If its intentional even these clowns should be able to tell.
