Hopefully they stay out of the box tonight. It would be nice to see this series go a few games. Sweeps suck!

DOH!

According to ESPN's Bill Simmons, Game 1 of the NHL Finals was watched by 611,000 households, ranking lower than the Arizona-Northwestern women's softball game on the same night.

Yikes.

There was a guy at the game today with a sign that read

Now, I realize that Bob Cole has been around forever, and has called some of the most memorable games in history; and I respect that.
But, his time is done. His love affair with the leafs is too much, and he seems to be loosing his handle on the game at times.
I say, Bring on the new guys....they did a great job in the first few rounds!

In particular.....

...the NHL's fan base in Montreal is the lowest of the six Canadian-based NHL cities at around 20 per cent.

Wonder why that is. Just too many other things to do in Montreal? Or fans only care when they are winning Cups? What gives?

probably did their survey in English...

I read a few articles last week saying that the Red Wings are expected to take a run at Dwayne Roloson when/if he hits the open market July 1st.

Yeah, even as a Leaf fan I've got to agree with you. It really is time for them to promote Hughson to the "A" team. Though it would suck if they kept him with Millen. Millen is B R U T A L.

I totally agree, its time for Cole to pack it in and go out with some dignity left, he definitely deserves some honors for all he's done for hockey, but yeah his time is up. Hughson deserves the job, and I like his voice too he does a very good job calling games. I just hope Neale gets the shove too, or quits I cant stand him anymore either.

It makes too much sense for the Canucks to go after a legitimate number one goalie.

I can't stand Jim Hughson, the man puts me to sleep.

I think Edmonton would trade Conklin, Markannen and Laraque to free up cap space to keep Roloson! They have Dubnyk in the minors to be back-up if needed.
