I got Massey Hall first night Row A Gallery centre front... very happy.

Later I pulled Front Row floors pair but sent it back. I just can't pay $105 per ticket plus front row at Massey, although great, I find other seats are better.

From RCG Row A I can see the whole band much easier... very happy

You are obviously just starting your concert career....and have never sat 2 feet from a band. You turned away front row?
It's not a 7 song set at the radio station... its a An Evening With.... go look at the amount of songs played the last time they did this...well worth it.

The Gallery Blows dead bears and they should eliminate it from Massey Hall... the walk up the second flight of stairs is embarrassing.....

I certainly wouldn't have turned down front row, but you must be quite the concert elitist if you think there's anything wrong with the gallery at Massey. I've said it before and I'll say it again: there isn't a bad seat in the house...let's just all be glad we've got 5 nights at Massey instead of one night at the ACC.

Holy hell am I glad that I don't have to worry about seats since I'm going to all three Troubadour shows, hopefully. GA is the best way to see a show. Why the hell would I want to sit down at a rock concert?

Checked out the livenation pre-sale this morning to see if Orchestra Pit seats in Edmonton were on sale. I tried just getting a single anywhere in the Pit, but it told me there were no results. I know they are selling them, but I think whatever is left will be up for grabs on Friday and/or reserved for radio giveaways.

However, my darling wife went on stubhub this morning and scored 2 tix, Centre row BBB, not sure of the actual seat numbers. It was $165 a ticket.

When I cheked out stubhub a few minutes ago those were the cheapest tix up for grabs, and the best seats up for grabs. Some people are selling bleeders for $400 - $800 per ticket. So I think we did pretty good, be almost impossible to get better seats than that on Friday morning. Plus had those tickets stayed on there til Friday, they would have inflated even more.

The reason we spent so much is that this june is our 5th Anniversary. The Hip played an important part in our wedding back in June of 2004, we were front and centre against the stage at New City 2 days before our wedding. My wife had JF walk up to her after the encore and present her with his drum sticks, so it was an extra special night for us. I'm still trying to actually get those sticks signed by JF so I can frame them for her.

So anyway we spent a total of $750 and have great seats for all 3 shows.

Wed, Sep 16, Seat location: section LC, row A, seats 19-18
Thu, Sep 17, Seat location: section Pit Centre, row BBB

Before you ask me if I am rich, let me say that we agreed that these tix will be our 5th Anni presents to one another. I think we may have actually saved money :lol:

I could not agree with you more on this one...haha... i had bought row 6 floors yesterday and later came accross row three dead center and bought those as well, The closer the better at Massey (well anywhere i guess).

On another note what year did they do the "evening with" shows before i'd like to check out the sets??

Why the hell would I want to sit down at a rock concert?

I dunno....to save us all from the ghastly sight of a white man trying to "dance" to rock music, maybe?

I always used to buy GA tickets....until I had enough of getting elbowed by inebriates, soiled by schoolboys, deafened by dizzy-bitches, and shielded by Sasquatches.

Now I opt for Reserve seats to save my knees the ache of standing still for three hours, and I rest assured that my soft seat will still be there waiting for me after the all-important bathroom break during ABAC. :thumb:

Plus I hate having to show up 12 hours in advance to score a good spot so that I can actually see - bloody shortness.

I'm short too, but if it's a small venue it's not usually a problem. The big outdoor festival shows are the absolute worst in regards to being short. I hate it.

It sure seems to be a problem for me, even at a smaller venue. And while I'm short, I'm not that short (5'8"). For whatever reason, tall dudes love to stand directly in front of me.

I used to take issue with it when it happened, but experience has taught me that if Sasquatch doesn't understand that wedging his Chewbacca-ass directly in front of a 5'8" dude is a dick-move, he usually doesn't feel obliged to relocate upon civil request.

Ok I need everyone to be honest here about my seats I have never been to Massey Hall and if these are not to good I will try pre-sale edge.ca or public sale Friday. I went on-line and checked out where they are and they seem ok but here it is.
