Some Sabres Games Will Not Be On TV

Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Don't have the OLN cable channel at home?
You may want to start looking for a place to catch next Monday's Sabres game -- maybe at a friend's house, or a nightclub.
The TV options for the Eastern Conference Finals between Buffalo and Carolina just got more limited.
Game One Saturday afternoon will be on NBC ... and the CBC will cover Games Three and Four and, if necessary, Game Five.
That means no broadcast ("over the air") networks will carry Games Two, Six or Seven -- and leaves only cable channel OLN as the only outlet.
There is only one dependable place to catch every game: on the radio. Full coverage of all games will be on WGR SportsRadio 550.
MSG -- the Madison Square Garden Network -- does not have the rights to carry this series.
The Outdoor Life Network is available on Adelphia's upper tier of sattelite channels, and many Western New Yorkers don't receive them.
Ever since the Outdoor Life Network won the rights to broadcast NHL games this season, some Sabres fans worried they might not be able to watch some games. OLN did black out certain regular season games.
The decision by CBC to show a maximum of three games from the Sabres series can be traced to the success of the Edmonton Oilers -- now that a Canadian team has reached the Western Conference Finals, there's less Canadian interest in the Eastern series.
The CBC's TV schedule -- which can be checked by following the story link below -- was released shortly after Edmonton completed their series victory over San Jose
What the hell is wrong w/the CBC? Its the fkn playoffs. Why are they only showing a certain nuber of games?

cratch: I live in Rochester so I get OLN but work in Buffalo and everyone I work with is pissed. CBC is fed into Buffalo, but the CBC decideds only a handful of games. Hate to see if Edmonton doesn't make the cup finals. Will CBC decide to bother putting any games on?
