I'm hoping to see Plaskett open for them again one of these days.

I was quite impressed with Plaskett when he opened at the last ACC show.
It sound like the Constantines are very well liked too...

I saw Joel Plaskett this summer opening up for Blue Rodeo and preferred that set then when I saw him open up for the Hip back in '04. Also opening up for Blue Rodeo was Kathleen Edwards and she was fantastic, I must say.

Buck 65 will be a trip, and would be my pick for opener if I could pick and choose. I'm very stoked to see Kathleen Edwards again though. First time I saw her was at the mighty Queen's Pub -- never seen an acoustic AC/DC cover before, let alone one from a female.

Forever a fan.

Cheers,

Pat

CALGARY PEOPLE: CJay has a concert announcement on Monday. I wouldn't doubt it's Hip-related.

I can't wait until the Hip announce the summer leg of the tour. Please, PLEASE guys, come back to PEI! You've done the arena thing (Civic Center 1999), and the outdoor show (Festival of Lights 2006)...c'mon, 2 PEI dates, the Confederation Centre in Charlottetown & the Jubilee Theatre in Summerside! Please!! Smile

I went to see Jim Cuddy at the Confederation Centre Friday night, and wow, what a show. It was awesome! "5 days in May" and "Trust Yourself" blew me away! I would do anything to get the Hip to play there, sames goes for the Jubilee.

I'm extremely psyched for Buck 65, he's awesome, but a really unlikely tour opener for the Hip.
