Whom Are You Going To See ?

And he is performing Core and Purple in their entirety back to back.
Rapids Theatre, Niagara Falls, NY
I'm curious about this venue, looks pretty cool from the pics I've seen. Tried to go to the Morrissey show there a couple of months back but could not find tix anywhere.
I really like shows here - great sight lines - great sound - great bar right in the concert area.
But they do seem to over sell it. Primus was there 2 months ago (AMAZING recording but a show that I missed) and my bro in law said you could barley move inside the joint - it was way too crowded, he thought dangerously so. Luckily the shows I have seen there are not sell outs.

We paid $320 for 1st row 300 level beside the stage which is about twice the shelf price - a fraction of what some of the scalpers are thieving for. Keep your eye on Ten Club board and Kijiji daily; I would have waited for June time frame but travel too much too leave it up to chance. Its painful but worth it for this one.

The Shins - May 22 2013, Sound Academy Toronto. Hate this venue but the balcony section was opened for this show which makes it tolerable. Think I would see this band blindfolded in a school bus serviced wet Bobcaygeon farmer's field if necessary :jump

Skydiggers- May 3rd at the Ironwood in Calgary. Haven't seen these guys in years and I'm really looking forward to it.

The Hip- Sept. 7th at Shaw Millennium Park in Calgary. I swore I'd never see another outdoor Hip show in Canada, but a bunch of my friends are going and I've decided to tag along. Originally I told them I wasn't interested in going and they called me a party pooper, so I caved and bought tickets. What can I say, I'm a sucker. I swear this is the last f'n time!

Yeah sure Ron, you just needed an excuse to see the beautiful Victoria Justice without seeming too creepy.

Last night I scratched Leonard Cohen off of the list. It was absolutely amazing, and amazing how great of a performer he is at 78. I feel very fortunate to have seen this legend.

Just bought tickets to see Heartless Bastards in Missoula, Montana on July 20th. It's an 8 hour drive from Calgary, but fuck it. They never tour up here, and I NEED to see this band.

I saw Pickwick this past Monday night - I hadn't heard of them before the show. Now they are on repeat on my MP3 player; I absolutely fell for them!!

Saw the Skydiggers last night in Calgary. Awesome show! There was no opening act. They played 2 hour-long sets with a break in between, then came out and did 3 encore tunes, finishing off with a spirited rendition of "Slow Burning Fire". It's been years since I've seen them live, and they're just as brilliant as ever. What a fantastic band.
