I just ran across this article about the Stratford 2006 Music Fest.
The Hip's appearance fee for this was $400,000.

400K for the Stratford appearance, that seems way, way high. There couldn't have been much more than 15K people there so the math just doesn't work out. Mind you, the beer tent line ups were ridiculous so maybe thats where the promoter's revenue came from. Either that or Bobnoxious played for free, which is about what they're worth.
