Is this about money or a performance? Not to sound like an insensitive asshole, but why would the grandfather get a personal Hip show? I'm not trying in any way to say it's not painful for him, but the grandfather? Did he take care of the child? And if so, how would that qualify him for such a request? I'm all for helping out those in need, but as a musician myself I'd much rather play for someone who's actually sick, not a grieving relative that's two generations away from the child who died. If the band does it, cool. If I had time, I'd do it. But I still think it's kind of a strange request, if that's really what the request is.
