Canada's 123 rd birthday would have been July 1 1990, about eight months after Up To Here came out. I'm going to take a stab at it being much more the forgotten ramblings of the front man as opposed to solid "alternate lyrics."

That said, thanks for the find. It's a pretty cool find, and nice to see The Hip got some play on YTV back in the day.
