I would argue that: "It's not about the money" is the biggest crock of sh*t used by pro athletes today.

Case in point: Zdeno Chara.

"It wasn't the money or that I wanted to run away. I just had to move on."

Yet, before that one he gave: "I believe they thought I was going to get an offer around $6 million and then I was going to call them to say I wanted to come back," said Chara. "We had 23 teams contacting us. We had 15 teams make offers and seven teams over $7 million (San Jose, Los Angeles, Edmonton, Washington, Toronto, New York Rangers and New Jersey)."

But it wasn't about the money. Uh, OK.
