I was in either grade 11 or 12 in 89 and I watched a lot of Muchmusic back then. I recall one day after school watching and the video for NOIS came on. I was mesmerized by the grainy, grey cloured video, the bizarre lead singer and the grinding guitar. At first I thought this must be some late 60's-70's band that I somehow had never heard of. I asked a friend the next day at school who the Tragically Hip were and he said they had a new album out called Up To Here and that they sounded a lot like the Stones. I went to a record store asap and found Up To Here and have ever since been in love.
