I don't have Ovechkin, but i did take Nicklas Backstrom in the 18th (and final) round in my pool

In the keeper league I'm in we have a roster of 30 players. 15 are active and 15 are on your bench. Prior to the next season we protect 20 players and redraft the final 10. There is also a salary cap, which adds an extra element of strategy.

Anyway, I drafted Backstrom two years ago and I was pretty bitter when he decided to spend that extra season in Sweden. But ever since Boudreau took over and put Backstrom with Ovechkin, I've got nothing but good things to say. In fact, with Backstrom assisting on the majority of Ovechkin's goals, I traded Ovechkin earlier this season for Zetterberg (I would no longer be able to afford Ovechkin next season, and Zetterberg will make a relatively "cheap" $2.9 next season versus Ovechkin's $9 million).
