Hey All,
Long time since I've been a part of the board..... anyhow, you are all in for an amazing treat on the 21st. The sound at the Empire is fantastic in the ORCH section, however, the further back you are in the balcony, the worse it gets due to the low ceiling back there. I saw Dickey Betts there a couple of weeks ago and the sound in the second row just about blew my head off. I know a few of us Bellevillians got tixs. Me and 3 other people I know got them. I unfortunately got row L (my buds are in B and C) but no matter where you sit, you can't complain. My comp. started to freeze when I got on and went in to a panic deciding if I should refresh. I do know 2 people that got booted out and didn't score any. Fortunately though, I've been to many small venue shows over the years, and they definitely are better. I've got to the selfish point where I'll only see them in the smaller venues. The best of them all had to be the Ferry Boat in Vermont during the IVL Tour. I still can't get that one out of my head.
To answer the Hip in Belleville, question is yes. From what I heard, they used to play an outside patio called the "Rumrunner" back in the early days (86-87), now called the "Funky Carp".
Enjoy the show folks and I'll see ya on the 21st :thumb:
