The beach areas are amazing,(Koh Samui, Ralay beach, outside of Krabe) but you have to go to the northern city of Chang Mai, the food is amazing, and the people super friendly. The less time you soend in Bankok the better!

Thanks. I was planning on spending more time in Chiang Mai than BKK actually. I'm not interested in being around hookers all day long and ladyboys surrounding me everywhere I go and ping pong ...er never mind.

Seriously though, for some of the cheapest great food in the world, Chang Mai is where it's at.
The Islands are not to be missed as well, some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, and again, cheap to stay and eat...
