You are probably choosing a username that is taken... sadly the server does not notify users when they choose a duplicate username, but I am working on it.
As well, over the past week we have been moving it to a new server so it may have gotten lost in the shuffle. Send me a PM with your requested username and your email addresses and I'll look into it.
