I'm glad the Hawks won the lottery, it's about time that organization got things back on track, they've been a mess for years! The Hawks have a pretty good group of young players/prospects, and hopefully they'll be able to turn things around soon. This years draft doesn't have the top end talent of the last few, but there are still a number of quality prospects near the top, including Patrick Kane.
I don't think the Blackhawks will go anywhere good with Bill Wirtz as the owner. And if they take Pat Kane 1st overall, which they likely will, I don't think he's gonna help the team very much. This is a pretty weak draft year. Don't get me wrong Kane's a good player but in past years I don't think he'd be considered as a first overall pick.
