I can definitely hear the similarities... but I think there's a difference between being "influenced" by a song or being "influenced" by a genre AND copying a song. It's music. It's art. I hope the day that musical lawyers begin to scower the world for "similar enough" music doesn't come. I'm sure a person well-versed enough in music could find direct links between Elvis 'n Puff Daddy if they tried hard enough.
