This year, I struck out, but am confident something will come up. To compare, the newly reformed Police are much richer than they used to be, based on super high ticket prices, supplemented by $100 per show fan club memberships that I hear got no one good tickets, Hip Club free???? I think it's fantastic.
Face it, the Hip are a big band in Canada, they're not going to play for $35 anymore, I don't think anyone will...
You touched on my point exactly...what happed to the good tickets we used to get with the Hipclub? Also, I don't care what anyone else is doing or charging for tickets. I just shelled out $89.00 per ticket for 16th row, and I now find out it was stupid to do so. I feel I have every right to complain about a piss-poor system.
This Hip have always been big in Canada, at least for the last 15ish years, so that isn't anything new. Why all of a sudden are they feeling the need to cash in on fans? I understand that costs are rising but are they rising that much and that quickly? My 3rd row floor tickets 2.5 years ago at the Dome were in the $45.00 - $50.00 range.
I'm actually surprised at the general level of apathy about this. It's almost as if speaking out about this is somehow against the rules for being a die hard fan. Bollocks to that.
