I've always liked Simon & he was a very popular player while he played for the Rangers, but that was just plain stupid on his part. Even if the Hollweg's hit was dirty (which i didn't think it was at all), you still don't go & do something like that.

It looked to me like he took an accidental high stick on that hit, which would account for him losing his temper and doing something so stupid and malicious. Not that I'm excusing him, I'm just saying I think that's what happened.

Re three games, that's what the league gave Emery for a deliberate slash to Maxim Lapierre's face, so like I said, the league has set their precedent. But I'm betting they won't be consistently lenient on using the stick as a weapon.
