I instituted a policy in my classroom that on Friday a student can bring in a cd for the class to listen to, as long as it doesn't contain explict lyrics etc.

Today, a student handed me a burned cd that simply said "mix". I put it in and went about me rounds making sure that each group was doing their work.

Then, an awful, whiney and artistically void set of noises filled the room. The student had selected to play a mix of Nickleback.

I have adopted a new policy -- the cd must not completely offend my personal tastes. :lol:

Forget trying to build a fence to keep the Mexicans out... why doesn't someone in Washington do something about the proliferation of crappy music trickling down from the north?
