I posted here because Mark's Monster Torrent was a public example of how he does share... and I got a kick out of this thread back then, and now. It's great how passionate we can get over this band, their music, taping, trading, etc.

As BigA mentioned, Mark shares a lot with people he knows, who then in turn get the shows out to the fans.

You wrote that you are "having a very hard time with people taking possession of the boots like it is their own product. Shitty product? come on, do you think the hip care if the boots sound good or not." It's not about The Hip; it's about pride in your own work. I've invested time in learning how to be a better editor, and money in better equipment so that I can put out the best possible product.

In the world of Hollywood movies there is a director known as Alan Smithee; perhaps the Hip community needs a pseudonym to attach to crappy recordings that we send to you. :lol:

Oh no. Imagine the guy who is running hiptracker receiving emails. If you don't want people to ask then shut it down. Not everyone who asks is malicious, most people are just so excited that they found out the show even exists

I don't care how excited you get about a show, it doesn't give you the right to demand things of me. End of story.

I am well aware of the situation I put myself in by starting The Hip Tracker but that does not preclude me from having, and sharing, my opinion. And since I'm not a suck, I'm not going to shut it down. I'm also a dick; people tell me so all the time. Or am I an Asshole?

What would that accomplish? According to you, The Hip don't care about the tapes that fans make, so why would they change their taping policy?
