It was so normal for them to just get lost in NOIS and you never knew where it was going. A new song? A cover? An insane story? It seemed the band was starting to go that way, but Gord just went a little ways then reeled it back in. A missed opportunity to capture the real Hip live.
NOIS is next on my hit list if it gets to round 2. The song itself is well played with a workman-like performance, but the extended jam was underwhelming compared to what they were capable of at that time. Gord seems bored singing "China Girl".
