I finally got the time to listen to Henhouse. I thought DFN was pretty good -- posted earlier, better dynamics than the CD and original vinyl. Henhouse, caught me by surprise -- amazing. Really fantastic soundstage presentation, nice front vocals and details across all instruments. What especially grabbed me was Paul's background vocals. ABAC, always knew that Paul was there in the background, but the vinyl presentation of the Gord and Paul vocal mix is stellar. Background vocals are not overpowering, but present in a way I've never heard on an album I've heard 1000s of times.

Well worth the purchase. I know some people wonder why some of these albums get a double vinyl treatment, but listen to the detail on henhouse and you'll appreciate the range you can achieve by not cramming too much music onto a single side.
