For those who are from Kingston or grew up there, can you explain the Greg Burliuk thing? There seems to have been quite a feud with this guy at that time. I recently watched a youtube clip from a '93 Kingston show where Gord talks about Burliak's "bad vibes". I'm assuming he was a local critic who talked sh** about the band?

I lived in Kingston, Day for Night years. Burliak was just a blow entertainment hard writer for the Whig. I don't recall anything he wrote about the Hip, likely would have predated my time there, but did not find him to be a great supporter of the local music scene at the time I lived there. There was a lot of good music in the city , and a few good live venues, that rarely for any support from him in the Whig.
