The emotion of the day building into the arena I can't even begin the describe. The Ottawa show felt a lot sadder for me, more of a goodbye. Not sure why. I also though they looked very road weary on Thursday. That seemed to be gone on Saturday, way more like a celebration.

This, this, this. I feel as though people who watched on TV (or internet or whatever) got a heavy dose of sadness (see, for instance, montages of crying fans). But the show itself felt like a homecoming parade for the conquering local heroes. I think the mood inside the arena was epitomized by Mrs. Baker, who was sitting a couple rows in front of me (I used to live around the corner from them). She spent the whole show smiling and singing and dancing and hugging people and that, in my mind, encapsulated the entire vibe. Yeah, there were tears, but to me they were overwhelmed by the love and gratitude that was hanging from every corner of the room.
