I never understood why the LFTV series died.

I bet it's for the same reason The Hip Club and the "make your own t-shirt" website and The Hip app and all the other great stuff they've started, but gave up on: Because the band just want to play music. It's probably well intentioned third parties pitching these things to them, then losing interest once they find out it's not the gold mine they'd hoped.
