The Hip would make a boat load of cash from selling high-quality live bootlegs. Can't remember exactly where I read it, but there was an article a couple years back that talked about how both Pearl Jam and the Black Crowes earned way more money from selling their live shows online than they did from sales of their most recent studio albums. With technology being what it is today, it's easy to do, and it's cheap to produce. The Hip had a good thing going when they started the "Live from the Vault" series, but sadly it fell by the wayside just as quickly as it started. I don't get it. It's well known that the Hip have been recording all their shows since 1995. What's the point of recording all those gigs if they're just gonna sit in some vault collecting dust?? C'mon Hip, ya gotta put that shit up for sale. We'll buy 'em. My wallet is open and I'm waiting for you to take my money.
