Alfreddson gets dumped on for a piss-poor team performance all series long, and that doesn't make sense to me. Chara and Heatley were the definitive under-performers in this series. Either way, Buffalo played well, Miller played great, and they deserve to go on.

Well, let's see. He's the captain of the team, he scored 43 goals this season, and not too long ago he guaranteed they'd win the Cup.

And what did that translate into in the playoffs? A whopping two goals in 10 games (to go with the ONE he scored in 04), and the winning goal scored by the Sabres was because he let a guy who started the season in the minors whip past him (short handed no less) and didn't do a damn thing but wave his stick at him as he cut to the net. Sorry, but even if you have to tackle the guy, you don't give him a free pass to the net like that. Not with the season on the line.

If I was Muckler I'd be on the phone with every bottom feeder team on Monday morning, trying to unload the guy. It's pretty damn clear they aren't going to win with him. How much more talent does he need around him?
