Wow, what a night for Mats Sundin. He just made an absolute beautiful pass to Darcy Tucker, who missed...puck comes right back to Sundin, who makes an almost identical play out front to a pinching Tomas Kaberle, who wins it in OT. 6 points (4 goals 2 assists) for Mats Sundin.

What a stretch by Mats....a Jagr-esque 18 points in his last 9 games. The time he's been needed the most, and he's stepped up his game big time. If only he had some decent talent around him..... :x

I lost a lot of respect for Nieuwendyk and Roberts for deciding to play in Florida for a few more bucks than they could have made in Toronto, but I think it was great of Nieuwendyk to say this about Mats:

''Mats is a great captain and a good friend,'' said the former Leaf. ''Sometimes he takes some abuse (in Toronto) but this guy cares as much as any captain I've ever played with, and he steps his game up when he has to.''
