I would rather see a Ten Club type (nominal fee) set up where you KNOW you'll get better seats than going through TM, eventhough you don't know exactly what you'll get until you pick the tix up at the box office before the show. I thought something similar was to be part of the New Hip Club.

But you just contradicted yourself there because you stated that you don't like the fact that you don't know where the tickets are going to be and you don't have a choice in the matter, yet you want it to be like the Ten Club where you still don't know where the tickets will be. And correct me if I'm wrong, but with the Ten Club, the earlier the number that you have (meaning the earlier the date you joined), the better tickets you will get. That is only fair to the people that signed up ages ago.

Ten Club type system. Take the best of it and make it better. Yeah, that seniority deal is pretty lame, so dump it - first-come, first-served or a lottery is better. Just make sure the fan club gets the best seats, period. You know your seat through the fan club (or thehip.com) will be better than through TM eventhough you don't know exact location. I don't think that's contradictory. Maybe I'm not articulating what I'm trying to say very well.

Like I said in the earlier post, The Hip have always treated the fans extremely well. I would expect the FiL deal to follow suit.

No you cleared your thoughts/wishes up rather nicely with that post. And I agree with you that the Hip have always treated their fans with the utmost of respect. And I believe that they will ensure that this system will be beneficial to their fans. It may not be 100% the first time around, but I have faith!
