This whole RS cover thing could get nasty. Not because of the religious right, but because about twleve years ago a well-known photographer conceived and shot the same pose for a RS cover...with Howard Stern as the subject.

RS blew a nut and refused to publish it. Too controversial, Wenner said at the time. As I was turning off Sirius to go into my office this morning, Stern was planning to call the photographer and raise the question of copyright infringement.

Can't wait to see how it shakes out.

Copyright infringement? Seriously? So now no one else is "allowed" to pose as JC because Howard Stern did it? Man, that's as lame as Pat Riley trademarking the word "threepeat".
