Just bought it last night, and it's excellent. They really opened up the vaults for this tour with tunes like An Cat Dubh and Into the Heart making appearances in the set, not to mention an absolutely killer version of Electric Co. The new stuff sounds great as well. Miracle Drug, Original of the Species, Sometimes You Can't Make It, and City of Blinding Lights are much more powerful in concert than they are on the album. A gorgeous version of "40" closes out the show with the Edge and Adam Clayton switching instruments. Very cool stuff. Not quite as energetic as their "Live at Slane Castle" DVD, but it's definitely worth picking up if you're a fan.

You know it's funny cause I have read some reviews on this and a lot of people are saying the same things. "There isn't the energy that has been captured previously" or "the first leg was lacklustre - they should have recorded something from the third leg of the tour" are all comments that I keep seeing. This was my first live U2 show as well as my Fiancee's and I wanted to buy it for her for Christmas but if it isn't worth the money - then I dunno.

What has been the best recorded (video) that U2 has put out? The Slane Castle DVD? This Boston show prz was talking about?

U2 has been quite behind in releasing their old VHS shows onto DVD. Mexico from PopMart and and Australia Zoo Tv tour have still not been released. There are constant rumours that they will be.

The Rattle and Hum DVD has some great performances in it as long as you can get past the crappy movie bits in between. The bands version of Sunday Bloody Sunday is amazing. With or Without is the best version they have ever done of the song live. Bono's voice was at the peak then before the booze and smokes destroyed it.
