For example, look at Jonas Hoglund's '99-2000 campaign....Let me assure you, he aint a 29-goal scorer, esp. in the heart of the trap era, but Sundin created so he could tap it in, or more often than not, not tap it in.
That's the thing that PAINS me when people refuse to acknowledge Sundin as an elite player. Can you believe the garbage wingers he's had in recent years? HOGLUND? An 82 year old Steve Thomas? A 73 year old Gary Roberts? All Whine No Hands Tucker? The only real player Mats has had on his wings in recent years is Mogilny, and that's only sometimes. Then Mats goes off and plays for Sweden in an international tourney with real wingers (like Alfredson), plays awesome, and people say: "See, international hockey is more important to him than the NHL".
