Yeah, me too--that first inning was awesome.
I feel if we could pick up one more quality starter (i.e., not Dave Bush...although I still feel as though he could turn into a decent 4th or 5th starter with a little more seasoning) and one genuine slugger (i.e., not Aaron Hill...although damn, he's been impressive so far) then Toronto could put a nice little season together. I still don't see them winning the A.L. East or even necessarily challenging for a wild card berth, but if they can finish, say, in the 85-90 win range I think they'll be in really good shape for 2006--especially with this sudden influx o' cash.
Of course, I could be dreaming...but that's what being a fan is all about right? Right.

Agree with every thing you say. They are in a tough division, it is going to be difficult. I'd like to see some more fans in the stands though, I was a bit dissapointed in the crowd size. If it was a weekend series there probably would have be 40,000 there to see the Sox, most would have been from New England but thats okay.
Man, we were outnumbered last night biiig time...which is saying nothing about all these "Red Sox fans" who suddenly came out of the woodwork sometime late last October. Seriously, everybody I see in downtown Toronto is wearing a Red Sox cap these days--which is a shame, since their hometown team is currently ahead in the standings. :thumb:
Steve-o, heading to SkyD...sorry, Rogers Centre in t-minus two hours
