Hey I'm Katie from Vancouver. I actally only Really discovered the Hip at the Junos ( I listened to their songs before it, just didn't really know/care much ). In a short period of time, they have become very special to me- see, my dad just died from cancer and for the past while all I've litsened to is the Hip- just one of those times when it was what I needed to calm down and deal with the fight at hand. Anyway, thats my little Hip discovery story- I kinda wanted to write Downie a letter thanking him for what the music has meant to me, but figured its not like it'd ever actually reach him, so the next best thing is to come talk to people who might feel the same way about their music. so yes... hi!

Sorry about your loss, I think the Hip means something special to all of us fans, I love how music can do that for a person. And Im sure it wouldnt hurt to try and write to Gord, you never know. Anyways, its good to have you here. :thumb:
