Chris Jericho is the son of a former New York Ranger, can't think of his REAL last name, and plays hockey, but then again, isn't it like required that when you are born in Canada, they put little hockey skates on your feet and a stick in your hand before they present you to you mother?

Jericho is the son of Ted Irvine who played with New York in the 70's. Chris was born Chris Irvine in NYC. He went on a tour of the middle east in his early days and became very religious. He adopted the name "Jericho" from the biblical city. He does a lot of work with Make a Wish and Easter Seals in Canada, and was once told by Eric Bischoff that he was too small to ever make it big. In 2002, when he headlined WrestleMania in front of 70,000 at Skydome, his percentage for that single nights work was over $125,000.

He was either jerkin yer chain or mine. The biblical story is in Tommy Billington's book though, and his finisher is (or was at least) called the "Walls of Jericho"...so who knows.
