at the end of the day, they're all just sounds, and i don't care what anybody says, you can't own music, nobody invented the sounds known as musical notes, they exist on their own, they always have, and they always will. nobody owns anything really, we just try to hold on to the things we like as best we can.

Rob Van Winkle said it best back in the day when he was "accused" of ripping off the bass-riff from Queen's Another One Bites the Dust to make his wonder of a one-hit:
