He wasn't singing very well. The only time he really does is on the albums (depends on the song... and Gus is one of those songs that can sound really odd live to someone who isn't familiar with the Hip. I don't think Courage requires the same vocal range and probably sounded more like it 'should' to most people watching the game.) I mean let's face it, they are known for the lyrics and the stage presence, not the beautiful voices. (Certainly a unique voice and I do enjoy it.)
