Well I used to pitch and play a third. Haven't pitched in years though so I'd prefer the third position, but the shoulder and elbow are still strong so if needed I'll chuck a few.
As for Esthete's comment on how you can't fathom how a thinking man or woman can't be completely enamored by the game.... I tend to agree, but my wife, who is by all accounts, smarter than me cannot stand to watch it. Needless to say she's not a fan of the great month of October baseball. For me though, nothing beats watching the game with a beer in hand.
Bring on game 2 tonight. I'm just choked that I'll have to miss a lot of it because of my 2 week trip down under starting on Sunday. I hope like hell the world series goes the full 7 games cause that way I'll get to catch game 6 and 7 when I'm back. Last I checked, they're not too big on baseball down in Australia and New Zealand.
