I heard the new cd a few times now. I have to say I tend to agree with the review. Not on the writer's choice of the best songs but about the cd in general. When I listen to the cd all I can think of is how much better they can be. I can't get the feeling out of my head that they are capable of so much more. The cd is good but I don't find it great. Their new music just seems a little too mainstream for them and this is a band that has had its own sound for its entire career until now. I don't care for Bob Rock as a producer, even if he did only produce a few songs on the cd. Anyway, they are a good band but they leave me with the feeling that they are capable of more.
