what kind of road stories????? hmmmmm

There was a great CBC News Morning (It's kinda like if "Meet The Press" and "NBC Dateline" had a bastard child on public TV) piece on the Hawk a few months ago. He talked about a book he's working on, and regailed host Evan Soloman with a few gems while dropping names like Elvis, Mick Jagger and a number of "high profile beddings" with young ladies across NA.

When Evan asked him jokingly if there was anyone he hadn't "been" with, he just smiled and gave him a "gentlemen never tell" response. The dude really has done it all.

He then told a story about having John and Yoko over to the house after their Bed-In in Montreal. He has reel to reel's of he and the two of them jamming for hours.

Look up "cool" in any Canadian dictionary:

Hey Steve! They're actually talking about the OTHER Ron Hawkins, lead singer/songwriter of the Lowest of the Low. The older Ron (the Hawk) is just as cool though, and obviously much more influential. The Hawk, along with Robbie Robertson, The Band, Gordon Lightfoot, Joni Mitchell, and Neil Young are pretty much the roots of Canadian rock n' roll. Which reminds me, If anyone is interested in learning more about the forefathers of Canadian rock, check out a book called "Before the Gold Rush: Peace, Love and the Dawn of the Canadian Sound". It's basically a companion piece to that other book I'm always mentioning, "Have Not Been the Same: The CanRock Renaissance 1985-1995".

Well, son of a bitch. I've never even heard of another "Hawk..." Honestly, shouldn't they have retired the name back in like '65?
