I know on the Gord I&I he said something about his band pushing him to play solos and such, so hopefully he's improved.
With The Hip I think Gord playing guitar is alright for songs like Wheat Kings, ABAC and Scared. It was a bit of a bummer though on the IVL tour looking forward to seeing All Tore Up and he just stood there strumming his inaudible guitar...same goes for his addition of the acoustic on Springtime In Vienna.
I agree, the addition of the acoustic on Springtime is kinda pointless.
