"We had a song that fought a gallant effort and it had fairly pointed lyrics on it about the 'Lord's Resistance Army' and it just felt odd to do it," Downie says of one track that didn't make the record. "It said something quite pointed about a certain group of people that are functioning as we speak, carrying out atrocities that absurd in order to set up a government based on the 10 commandments. So killing children, all this stuff ... like crazy ..."
