Ok Grooveless, I'm getting a little sick of you slagging Peter. This whole thread is just dragging on with your whining.
Yeah, you got a bunch of wrong discs, boo freakin' hoo. It seems to be an honest mistake (I've had other bands discs included in my B&P too). If you wanted to know a little about how Peter works, you should've asked around before sending your hard-earned money. You were given his mailing address earlier but did you send him anything asking "where's my discs?" Did you even bother doing the math on how much time it would take to burn everything he was offering for just ONE person, let alone the amount that actually took him up on his offer? There is no Better Business Bureau for this kind of thing; remember, all you are buying is the CD's, not any of the content on them. I'd rather have seen you get a bunch of blank CD's versus anything else because essentially that is all you paid for. Peter doesn't sell Hip bootlegs, he sells CD-R's.
This guy has done THOUSANDS of B&P's over the years and is one of a few very select people responsible for how big of a Hip trading network is available today. Errors do occur, and no matter how big they are, you still have to remember that they do occur.
The guy got in a car accident and almost lost his leg for christ's sake. You've been told by many people here that he didn't have any internet access & to hold tight. Numerous people have told you about delays experienced in the shipping process. You've been told by even more people just how helpful Peter is and trust me, you wouldn't have half of the boots in your collection right now if Peter didn't do B&P's years ago.
Peter's "operation" as you call it runs fine without you and your problems. At the same time as running Hip boots, he was also trying to get rid of boots from a bunch of other bands. So your name found it's way there instead of with the Hip boots. Peter knows what he's doing and I challenge any single Hip fan anywhere to match Peter's dedication and "operation", which has been up and running since at least 1998.
Maybe this is a case of some newbie Hip fan trying to get some Hip boots he thinks he's entitled to but not doing his homework on the subject. Have you gotten up off your ass to tape/distribute shows, seed shows, do B&P's, burn DVD's, and co-ordinate fundrasing for charity? Do you have ANY FREAKIN IDEA the time & commitment involved in this? Now try doing that on one leg.
If you got a problem, send him the discs back with a note explaining everything. If you're too damn lazy or stupid to do that, tell me how much you "invested" in these bootlegs and I'll pay you back in full on behalf of Peter, just to get you to shut up. Diehard traders don't need an ass like you to come along and ruin what Peter has worked so hard to build.
If anyone else is wondering about their discs, let me know and I will draft a letter for Peter and send it via overnight delivery this week. You'll hopefully have an answer soon.
