So because millions of animals are slaughtered inhumanely every week , this justifies the seal cull ? Killing is killing , the result is the same. Life is taken and never enjoyed again. Would the taking of a free life not be "worth " more than the taking of a life which is cramped in pens and crates ? It's not like they've lived a good long life , they are Seal pups. I don't know any of the facts or figures on the seal populations effect on fish stocks. If fish stocks are being decimated and a severe imbalance is occuring , then something needs to be done . When this situation occurs a chain reaction happens and many species become threatened, each affecting the other. I don't think any cull should be done for economic reasons such as profiting from the fur, that to me is inhumane. Killing an animal for sustinence is one thing, killing for vanity (fur market) is another .
